We’ve got some exciting news to share with you about a groundbreaking collaboration that's set to transform education in India. Tantalum Academy and S-VYASA University have teamed up to launch a Centre of Excellence (COE). Athvie Innovation Private Limited, as a digital partner, focuses on leveraging innovative digital solutions to increase operational efficiency and engagement. This initiative is all about seamlessly blending Yoga and Soft Skills into school and college curricula. How cool is that?

The COE is the brainchild of S-VYASA University and Tantalum Academy, with a big boost from Athvie Innovation. It’s going to focus on research, course creation, and collaboration with similar institutions. The aim? To equip students with the skills they need to thrive in today’s world.

So, what’s the plan? At the core of this initiative, the COE will roll out courses that harmoniously combine Yoga and Soft Skills. They’ve got two main offerings: the 'Achieve Series' for colleges and the 'Imperium 361 Series' for schools. These courses are built using evidence-based insights to boost students' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. And that's not all—the COE will also keep researching the benefits of Yoga and Soft Skills for students.

Why is this so important? By integrating Yoga and 21 key soft skills into the curriculum, students will develop crucial abilities like emotional intelligence, stress management, effective communication, and leadership. These courses, aligned with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), advocate for a comprehensive approach to education. Plus, the COE will regularly publish research and white papers to support the adoption of these transformative practices in educational institutions.

Let’s talk about the key players. S-VYASA University, based in Bengaluru, is a renowned higher education institution with over 900 research papers published in top journals like The International Journal of Yoga and the Indian Journal of Traditional Knowledge. Their expertise in yoga research and education is unmatched.

Tantalum Academy, on the other hand, is known for its innovative methods in developing essential soft skills in students and professionals. They use storytelling, interactive games, custom-built games, reflection, peer feedback, and assessments to make soft skills development measurable and actionable through concepts like Visually Measurable Behaviours (VMB®) and Visually Applied Actions (VAA).

And let’s not forget about Athvie Innovation, a crucial digital partner in this initiative. They’re playing a key role in bringing this vision to life, helping to ensure the courses are impactful, effective and reach a number of people so that it can benefit the students. Plus, Digivyasa, part of Athvie Innovation, provides the digital platform that makes accessing these awesome educational resources super easy.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is a leading cause of illness and disability among adolescents and young adults, with an estimated 20% of adolescents experiencing mental health conditions like anxiety and stress at any given time. Integrating yoga and soft skills into the curriculum could be a game-changer. This initiative aims to tackle these challenges, promoting mental well-being among students. Plus, with employers increasingly seeking soft skills, these courses will prepare students for successful professional lives, potentially benefiting thousands.

This initiative isn’t just about education—it’s about a new era of learning where traditional knowledge and modern skills coexist. It promises a brighter, more balanced future for students across India. Want to learn more and connect with people in the Digivyasa community? Join us on WhatsApp and find people just like you.
